Aprendo Música is a collection of interactive games and activities to learn and practise musical language.
The project has been running since 2005 and grew out of my experience as a Music teacher in Primary Education, with the idea of creating resources that are useful both in the classroom and for work at home. Since then, the website has evolved and adapted to technological change, but always with the same aim: to make musical learning active, clear and motivating.
The materials are aimed mainly at primary and secondary education, although they can also be useful in music schools, in conservatoire preparatory courses and for anyone interested in reinforcing basic musical language content.
On the website you will find games sorted by topic, such as notes, rhythm, theory, recorder, instruments and musical culture, so it is easier to find the right activities at any moment.
All the current games are built in HTML5, so they work on computers, tablets and mobile phones. This allows them to be used in music rooms, computer rooms, interactive whiteboards or at home, as a complement to learning.
The site also links to the Aprendo Música YouTube channel, where you can watch demo videos and other content related to the games and activities.
We also post regularly on Instagram (@aprendo.musica), with news, challenges and content to accompany everyday life in the classroom and at home.
Currently (2026) the website is going through an ambitious update, with new games, improvements to existing ones and new tools on the way — such as the mobile version of Catch the Notes or the rhythm dictation generator. Becoming a member of Aprendo Música through AprendoPlus lets you, for a symbolic price of 12 euros a year, browse without ads, use full-screen projection tools and the tools we will keep adding. But above all, it supports a project that has been serving Music Education for two decades. In any case, the website remains — and will always remain — free and open to everyone, as it has been since 2005.
Aprendo Música has been used for twenty years by teachers, students and families as a support and reinforcement resource. Our wish is for it to remain a useful, accessible and attractive tool for learning music.
Other educational projects
The experience of developing Aprendo Música has also led to AprendoMates, a maths games project for primary school. It shares the idea of learning through practice and offers activities on calculation, times tables and logic for use in class or at home.
